"What was it like?"

"It was great -until the last day."

"What happened then?"

"Well, we saw a bear near our bags."

"Really? What did you do?"

"We walked very slowly and quietly... in the other direction."

"Were you frightened?"

"Yes, we were - and the bear ate all of our food."

"Last year I went kayaking late at night."

"No, I had a PFD and there were some friends with me. Then my kayak broke."

"I released my leash so I didn't go down with the boat. Then I shouted for help but they didn't hear me."

"And then?"

"I paddled to the shore. The kayak was really heavy, but I did it."
